A fan favourite, the Furness and District Tractor Run "Santa Special" will return to town on Saturday, 7th December. This event, featuring Christmas-themed tractors from around the community, raises money for St Mary's Hospice.

Naturally, Christmas lights look better in the dark - so the Tractor Run will begin at 5:30pm starting at the Ulverston Auction Mart on North Lonsdale Road.

From there, it will run through town centre, and then head south on Priory Road before turning up Oakwood Drive through Croftlands, at an estmated 5:55pm.

The parade should hit Birkrigg Common arond 6:15pm, Little Urswick and Great Urswick about 6:30, and then continue down into Dalton and back north through Askam and Kirkby.

Driver participants will do their very best to decorate their tractors, with a trophy going to the best in show. Local businesses have also donated raffle prizes for a driver's prize draw.

Over 60 tractors are expected to participate this year. Make sure your bring donation funds with you to watch them go by - The summer run raised over £8,000 for St Mary's. To donate ahead of time, visit the JustGiving page here.
